Oracle Database High Availability was always a high priority for Oracle, as customers understand that keeping business online. In any other case, the productivity would be stopped , possible data could potentially be lost.However , many important corporates image would be tarnished with unpredictable devaluation of share price.Sometimes some systems are moved to another machine . Therefore , some tools are needed such as Oracle Import Utility.
Oracle understand that continuity everything for a database .Import utilities are produced by Oracle. Import engine reads all of objects and data from export file .all of objects insert target database .Export dump can only be read by Oracle Import side .All of objects are imported and export file is including some objects . such as table data , table indexes , type definitions , constraints , views , procedures .
1.User account be created new one as follows ,
create user oracle identified by oracle ;
2.Import is needed some priviliges as follows ,
grant connect, create session, imp_full_database to oracle ;
3.Consequently , import is being written and some information is need Such as Username , dump information and log information .
imp oracle/oracle@orcl file=import.dmp log=import22032016.log full=y;
4.Finally , Output file can be reached *.log file .
log=import22032016.log
